Maldives: Management company SH Hotels & Resorts will debut the Baccarat Hotel & Residences brand in the Maldives in 2027.
Spanning five interconnected islands across more than 111 acres in the South Malé Atoll, the resort will offer more than 50 hotel villas and 53 private residences for sale.
Global architecture firm HKS has been appointed to the project with interiors led by 1508 London. The hotel is owned by Madevco Holdings Limited (ADGM) with sister company MDC Investments LLC developing the site.
Villas will range in size from one to three-bedrooms, and six and seven-bedroom mansions will be located on a secluded peninsula.
Amenities at the property will include restaurants, retail, an outdoor cinema, art gallery, event space, a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts, a spa with yoga studios and a gym, and more.
Raul Leal, CEO of SH Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of Baccarat Hotels & Resorts, said: “Our debut in the Maldives marks an exhilarating milestone for the Baccarat brand. We are shaping a new identity in an already remarkable region, and we are confident that this property will define ultimate luxury in the Maldives.”
Baccarat currently has projects under development in Brickell (Miami), Florence, Dubai, Riyadh, and Rome.
