US: Pacific Hospitality Group, in partnership with Berger Holdings and JWG Investments, an affiliate of Sunbelt Holdings, has begun construction of an independent lifestyle hotel in Phoenix, part of the luxury Meritage Collection.
Located at the corner of Central and Adams in downtown Phoenix, the new four-star independent hotel is expected to open in autumn 2026.
The 236-room property, built by Mortenson with architecture by Gensler, will offer 23,000 square feet of meeting and event space, an upscale full-service restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar and pool deck on the seventeenth floor, a luxury spa, fitness centre, and an upscale café. It will be designed in collaboration with Style Haus and Wild Muse.
The construction financing for the project is being provided by First International Bank and Trust.
Garrett Busch, president of Pacific Hospitality Group, said: “This groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for the Meritage Collection as we introduce our first urban hotel in Phoenix.
