UK: TROO Hospitality [TROO] has announced its appointment to manage the iconic four-star Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa, its second property in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Set in 11 acres of Warwickshire woodland, the grade II-listed building features 71 bedrooms across the original manor house and the neighbouring Cedar Barns, which features a number of modern contemporary rooms. The venue, which hosted William Shakespeare in 1599 [where he wrote his comedy ‘As You Like It’], now also has a spa, which underwent a refurbishment following a round of investment by current owners.
Winston Zahra, CEO of TROO Hospitality, said: “We are incredibly proud to be working with the Billesley Manor owners and team on this stunning property. The building, with its rich history within Stratford-Upon-Avon, has recently been refurbished to a very high standard with more plans to further improve this impressive heritage site scheduled for the coming year.
“We are looking forward to working closely with the Billesley team and continuing to build on the great reputation of the property in the years ahead,” added Zahra.
Laura Cherrington, director of sales and marketing at Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa, said: “This appointment marks an exciting new chapter for us as we continue to enhance the guest experience at our historic venue. With TROO’s expertise and commitment to excellence, we are confident that together we will elevate the property’s reputation as a premier destination in the Stratford-upon-Avon region, offering visitors an unforgettable blend of heritage, luxury, and warm hospitality.”
The hotel’s amenities include The Stuart Restaurant which serves an a-la-carte menu, afternoon tea and a Sunday lunch, and a new health club and spa open seven days a week.
A selection of TROO systems will be implemented across the hotel in order to improve performance, including training, coaching and engagement tools, to develop and grow team members, group commercial contracts enabling effective cross-selling, and nationwide sales deals to drive business to the hotel. The company also focuses heavily on sustainability with an objective of minimising any negative environmental impact across its properties whilst also enhancing operational efficiency.
The new appointment marks TROO Hospitality’s eighth management agreement with a number of other hotels in the pipeline set to be announced in due course.
