The Hotel Group (THG), an affiliate of Hotel Equities, in partnership with co-owner Hogback Development Company, has acquired land to develop Marriott StudioRes Moses Lake in Moses Lake, WA.
“We are excited to bring Marriott’s innovative StudioRes concept to this location,” said Doug Dreher, CEO, The Hotel Group. “This new brand is a perfect fit for the growing demand in the midscale extended-stay market, and we are confident that it will be well received by guests. Our partnership with Hogback Development Company underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and expanding our portfolio with properties that resonate with today’s travelers.”
Public spaces in the Marriott StudioRes Moses Lake will include a fitness center, laundry facilities, a communal table for guests to gather and socialize, a covered outdoor patio and a vending area offering a variety of food items and guest essentials. Each guestroom will offer flexible shower or shower/tub options and fully equipped kitchens featuring a refrigerator/freezer, sink, cooktop and optional microwave and dishwasher, as well as open shelving for storage. The rooms will also include an open closet concept and a “mudroom” area.
The Marriott StudioRes Moses Lake is the fifth hotel development project that THG and Hogback have partnered to build. Construction is set to begin early 2025, with an anticipated opening in spring 2026. The hotel’s site is located adjacent to the co-owners’ already-open and operating Fairfield Inn & Suites Moses Lake.
