UK: Boutique hotel The Leonard has completed a £1.5 million first phase refurbishment of one of its four Georgian townhouses.
Kickstarting in 2023, the refurbishment project has seen upgrades to the bedroom and bathroom layouts, including sliding doors for flexible living spaces and the addition of walk-in showers, underfloor heating, double sinks, and more.
Restored vintage furniture, chandeliers and artwork support the individual design of each bedroom, all of which uphold The Leonard’s quintessentially English aesthetic.
Director Saachi Sehgal oversaw the first phase transformation in partnership with Russell Sage Studio.
The Leonard has also introduced Zennio’s smart guest room management system, which uses occupancy-based sensors to optimise energy efficiency of lighting and air conditioning.
The next phase of refurbishment will focus on the hotel’s communal areas, set to feature a planned separate entrance for Seymour’s Restaurant.
Located near Marble Arch at 15 Seymour Street, The Leonard Hotel and Apartments offers a selection of rooms and suites, accommodating between one to 10 people. The apartments are located across the street from and adjacent to the hotel.
In addition to its restaurant which serves an all-day European menu and afternoon tea, the hotel also offers a fitness centre.
The Leonard had been family-owned and operated since 2003.
