HSL Properties has acquired a portfolio of two hotels in Mesa, AZ—the 180-room Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West and 129-room Courtyard Mesa at Wrigleyville West—for $50.25 million.
Cushman & Wakefield brokered the transaction.
The portfolio also includes 15,000 sq. ft. of retail spaces, a commercial laundry facility, a full spa and 18,000 sq. ft. of meeting spaces.
The seller, Power Hotel Group, was represented by Executive Managing Director Bill Murney and Director Mike Montoya with Cushman & Wakefield’s Western Hospitality Advisory Group in Phoenix.
“These assets are well located at the confluence of the 101/202 freeways, minutes from Sky Harbor airport,” said Murney. “The Sheraton hotel will undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation, while the Courtyard opened in the fall of 2020 and continues to be a top performing asset in the market,”
Montoya added, “The hotels benefit from their exceptional location adjacent to Sloan Park at the Mesa/Tempe border, the nearby amenity offerings, and their association with Marriott.”
The hotels are adjacent to Sloan Park, the Spring Training home of the Chicago Cubs, and seven miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. They are also near Arizona State University, Tempe Town Lake, Tempe Marketplace, Banner Desert Medical Center and Old Town Scottsdale.
