The Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) has revealed its new board of directors for 2025, with Chad Sorenson, CEO, CHMWarnick, taking the president role.
Joining Sorensen on the 2025 board of directors are:

- Kerry Gaber, Host Hotels & Resorts, treasurer
- Justin Epps, BARINGS, marketing chair
- John Paulsen, hotelAVE, industry chair
- Nele Breitbart, international chair
- Adam Tegge, Ashford, education chair
- Sarah Gulla, Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, 2024 president
- Carly Thorp, Rockbridge, diversity, equity and inclusion chair
- Matt Basiliere, Southwest Value Partners, at-large board member
“As the incoming president of HAMA, my focus is to continue to elevate the discipline of professional hospitality asset management globally, promote the importance of the Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM) designation and leverage the collective strength of our members to add value, drive performance and enhance returns for hotel owners that are represented in HAMA,” Sorensen said. “Our members comprise the most sophisticated and talented professionals in asset management. HAMA provides a vital platform for asset management professionals to tap into the collective wisdom of the membership base and creates a concerted ‘voice’ for hotel owners on critical issues facing the industry. Sorensen brings more than two decades of experience to his role as president of HAMA. He is chair emeritus of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and serves on numerous other preeminent hospitality industry boards of directors.
